This has happened to many of us at least once in our lives, and if it hasn’t happened to you yet, it more than likely will. You are washing laundry and when you go to check to see why it is taking so long, you find that the washing machine is still full of water. It hasn’t drained and it doesn’t look like it is going to any time soon. Typically, if your washer fails to drain, it is the fault of the drain pump. A faulty drain pump, while frustrating, is easy to replace and it only requires some advice, basic hand tools, and a new drain pump.
