If your washing machine is giving you trouble and not operating properly, chances are that the problem lies with the washing machine’s carbon brushes. The role of the carbon brushes is to keep your washing machine drum moving. This enables it to wash your clothes properly and efficiently. Over time, these brushes can wear down, stopping the washing machine from turning. When this happens, you will notice that:

  • The motor turns occasionally or intermittently.
  • There are sparks coming from the motor.
  • The motor does not turn at all.
